In Koncha Zaspa, in the territory intended for the rehabilitation of customs officers, an elite cottage has grown, where former high-ranking officials of law enforcement and customs authorities settled. According to journalists of Bihus.info, almost 15 hectares of forest in Kiev in the 2000s, the Kyiv City Council transferred free of charge to the trade union of customs officers under the rehabilitation center.
More than two dozen houses were erected there at the expense of customs officers. At first, these cottages were rented, and subsequently transferred to the former tops of the DPS, the prosecutor's office, customs and close persons. According to journalists, the cost of a square meter in these homes cost new owners of only $ 1 thousand - which is significantly lower than market prices in this location.
Among those who have purchased or rented real estate in the forest are loud names. For example, Igor Kalenik, former head of the State Customs Service and Vice-Speaker of the Yanukovych Council. Also - the expirer of the Prosecutor General Sergey Kiz, who now owns a house that previously belonged to Roman Nasirov - the ex -head of the DPS, against which a criminal case was opened.
Among other persons are Volodymyr Golovatyuk, the exclusive of the Boryspil customs post, the children of the former head of the Kyiv Regional Customs Gennady Romanenko, representatives of Vitaliy Khomutinnik. One of the houses is rented by the current head of the Odessa Ova Oleg Kiper, a former prosecutor.
The scheme provided for the construction of objects for contributions of union members. But, as it turned out, access to this real estate was far from ordinary customs officers. Instead, the rehabilitation town has become a closed settlement for former power.
