The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (SAC) decided to allow the former Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky to temporarily leave the country. His stay abroad is allowed in the period from January 14 to January 28, 2025.
Such a decision was made by the Investigative Judge of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andriy Bitsyuk on January 8, "Slovo i Dilo" reports.
Solsky's defense attorney appealed to the court for permission to leave, citing the need for a medical examination and participation in an international event. The court ordered the State Migration Service to return the ex-minister's foreign passport for the period of the trip, and after Solskyi's return to collect the passport and notify the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
Mykola Solskyi, we will remind you, is a suspect in the case of frauds with land plots in Sumy Oblast. According to the investigation, in the period from 2017 to 2021, Solsky, in collusion with other officials, took possession of state lands with an area of more than 2,500 square meters. hectares in the amount of UAH 291 million, using a land transfer scheme under the guise of realizing the rights of ATO veterans.
Solsky himself does not admit his guilt, noting that the events took place before his election as a deputy and are not related to his activities as a minister.
In April 2024, VAKS chose a preventive measure for Solsky in the form of arrest with an alternative bail in the amount of UAH 75.7 million. He was released after posting bail. On May 5 of the same year, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed him from the post of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
