Former official Mustafa Nayem fined for drunk driving

The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv found former official Mustafa Nayem guilty of drunk driving. The incident occurred on the night of May 30, 2024, when Nayem, while driving a BMW, was stopped by patrol police on Mykola Mikhnovsky Boulevard.

According to the court decision, 0.62 ppm of alcohol was recorded in the driver's body, which exceeds the permissible norms. The test was carried out using a Dräger breathalyzer. At the time of the stop, Nayem was in a state of mild alcohol intoxication.

Nayem himself did not appear at the court hearing on May 13, 2025, sending his lawyer instead. The defense attorney tried to challenge the charges, citing an alleged malfunction of the breathalyzer and the lack of elements of the offense. However, the court found Nayem guilty, taking into account the documents provided by the police: an administrative offense report and a report on the state of alcohol intoxication.

As a result, Mustafa Nayem was fined 17 thousand hryvnias, and he must also pay 605 hryvnias in court fees.
