In Odessa, a high-profile incident related to a former police officer from Izmail is being discussed. Maksym Standratyuk, who previously worked in the Odessa Region Patrol Police Department, went abroad with his boyfriend. A video was shared on social media where he indicated his location in Moldova and stated that he had come to pick up his passport and his partner's passport, which were allegedly confiscated by the police.
The police emphasized that the former employee will be held responsible for his actions in accordance with current legislation.
Information spread in Odessa that Maksym Standratyuk, who previously worked as a police inspector in Izmail, illegally crossed the state border with his boyfriend.

Local Odesa Telegram channels shared a video purportedly from Standratyuk's Instagram account, in which he indicated Moldova as his location. In the caption, the man stated that he was going to pick up his passport and his boyfriend's passport, which were taken by the police.
Police clarification regarding the status of a former law enforcement officer
The regional police department clarified that the man in question has already been dismissed from the internal affairs bodies.
The department also emphasized that Standratyuk did not hold the position of deputy chief of the Izmail patrol police, but only temporarily performed the duties of the head of the unit in the past, long before the current events.
On March 20, 2025, Standratyuk filed a declaration for 2024, where he indicated the position of acting deputy head of the department for organizing service in the city of Izmail UPP in the Odessa region.
Maksym Standratyuk has worked at the Patrol Police Department in the Odessa region since 2020.
His father, Serhiy Yosypovych Standratyuk, works as the secretary of the Safyanivka village council of the Izmail district of the Odessa region.

In 2020, the elder Standratyuk ran for the Safyanivka village council from the Servant of the People party.


His wife, Aida Zattsepina, also ran for the Safyanivka village council from the Servant of the People party.

In 2010, Serhiy Standratyuk ran for the Izmail City Council from the Party of Regions.
