Former BEB official Yashchuk declared his assets and came under the attention of anti-corruption authorities

Former head of the detective unit of the Bureau of Economic Security, Oleh Yashchuk, after his dismissal published a declaration in which he reflected the income, property and financial assets of his family. At the same time, his name appears in materials of anti-corruption bodies that are studying the origin of certain assets.

This is what Absolution Leaks writes

According to the data provided, in 2025, Yashchuk received more than 711 thousand hryvnias in salary at BEB, as well as 120 thousand hryvnias in income from work at the private company Transcomgroup, where he moved after being fired.

The declaration states that the family consists of a wife and two sons. The wife declared social benefits and insurance contributions in the amount of over 8 thousand hryvnias.

Among the real estate is an apartment in Kyiv with an area of over 50 square meters worth about 2.14 million hryvnias, a land plot in Chernihiv region, and an unfinished construction site - another apartment in the capital, registered for his wife.

The declaration also includes a 2022 BMW X3, which is registered to another person but is used by the family. Yashchuk's monetary assets include several thousand euros in cash and funds in bank accounts, totaling several tens of thousands of hryvnias. Loans are listed separately, both provided to third parties and received by the family.

At the same time, the declaration does not contain information about corporate rights, securities, or significant financial obligations.

At the same time, according to information circulating in open sources, anti-corruption authorities are investigating the origin of certain assets related to Yashchuk. In particular, we are talking about cars registered to third parties, as well as possible real estate abroad.

Among other things, vehicles registered to individuals who may be connected to the family or entourage of the former official are mentioned. According to preliminary data, law enforcement officers are trying to establish the sources of financing of these assets and their actual owners.

It is also known that a lawsuit has been filed with the High Anti-Corruption Court regarding the possible recognition of part of the property as unfounded assets. This includes, in particular, vehicles, the value of which is estimated at millions of hryvnias.

There are currently no official decisions in this case, and all circumstances are being checked. Yashchuk himself does not list any additional assets abroad or complex financial instruments in his declaration.

The situation surrounding the former BEB detective demonstrates that even after being dismissed from civil service, officials remain in the field of attention of anti-corruption agencies, especially when questions arise regarding the correspondence between declared income and the real level of assets.
