An explosion occurred in the Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, killing a 41-year-old man and injuring his 65-year-old father. According to preliminary data, the tragedy occurred due to the detonation of an unknown explosive device. The police opened criminal proceedings under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the explosion: Part 1 of Article 115 – intentional murder and Part 1 of Article 263 – illegal handling of weapons and ammunition. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers are establishing the origin of the explosive device and possible persons involved in the incident.
Local residents report a loud explosion that was heard in nearby houses. The injured man was taken to hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical care.
