Since May 18, 2024, the number of persons entitled to serve summonses under the new law on mobilization in Ukraine has increased. In addition to representatives of territorial recruitment centers (TRCs), other categories of persons have also received the right to serve summonses.
Among them:
- Representatives of structural divisions of district and city state administrations, military administrations.
- Representatives of executive bodies of village, town, city, and district councils in cities.
- Heads of institutions (organizations) or individuals - entrepreneurs who provide services for the management of apartment buildings, or heads of the boards of condominiums and notification groups.
- Representatives of enterprises, institutions, organizations, educational institutions at the place of work or study.
Representatives of the relevant unit of the SBU intelligence agencies also have the right to serve summonses throughout the territory of Ukraine for reservists and those liable for military service.
All these individuals must have a special certificate issued by the heads of the relevant state institutions, confirming their right to serve summons. They can serve summons 24 hours a day at the address of residence, work, study, in public places, as well as at checkpoints and other designated places.
Changes in legislation allow for an increase in the number of individuals who can be involved in mobilization duties, which is an important step in strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
