Fake lyceum in Vinnytsia helped avoid mobilization — SBU suspects two people

In Vinnytsia, the SBU, together with the National Police, stopped a fraudulent scheme that allowed conscripts to avoid mobilization. Law enforcement officers exposed a man who created a fictitious private lyceum where no children actually studied.

According to the investigation, the fraudster used documents proving his studies at the lyceum to obtain deferrals from mobilization for his clients. The director of the institution was his accomplice, who also came under suspicion.

In addition, a teacher at a local institute was detained who, for money, helped draftees formalize their studies. Thanks to this scheme, draftees practically did not pass entrance exams and did not attend classes, but received documents that supposedly confirmed their studies.

Law enforcement officers reported suspicion under Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Evasion of military service”) and are continuing the investigation.
