Fake certificates worth 14 thousand: CCC official on trial in Transcarpathia

A case has been filed in the Zakarpattia region regarding a large-scale scheme of illegally issuing documents stating unfitness for military service. Among the defendants is Oksana Livyk, an employee of the recruitment center, whom the investigation considers one of the organizers of the criminal group.

This was reported by journalist Vitaliy Glagola, citing the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Defense of the Western Region.

According to law enforcement officials, the group acted systematically: the participants falsified the conclusions of the military medical commission (MMC), declaring men fit for service unfit.

The criminal scheme included:

  • head of the psychonarcology department,

  • psychiatrist,

  • member of the VLK,

  • head of one of the departments of the RTCC,

  • residents of Khust and Beregov districts who were looking for clients.

The cost of a "ticket" for discharge from service ranged from 9 to 14 thousand US dollars.

The investigation established that fictitious certificates of mental illness and other diagnoses that made military service impossible were issued for money. Such "conclusions" were issued on the basis of fabricated medical documents without an actual examination.

The indictment has already been sent to court. If the defendants are found guilty, they face up to 10 years in prison.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing war, this case is particularly indignant — not only because of its scale, but also because of the moral aspect: the falsifications were carried out at a time when others were dying at the front.
