In Chernivtsi region, a pre-trial investigation has been completed into a city council member accused of abuse of influence and using forged documents to help conscripts avoid mobilization, the Chernivtsi region police reported.
According to the investigation, a 39-year-old resident of the Storozhynetsk community organized a scheme in which, for money, she "helped" men obtain a decision from a military medical commission on unfitness for service or the right to a deferment.
The woman used her connections and influence, as well as provided false documents to carry out her criminal plan. Law enforcement officers documented several cases where she received monetary rewards for influencing LKK members.
The case has already been referred to court. The deputies are charged with several criminal articles at once:

Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — abuse of influence;

Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - forgery, sale and use of false documents.
The woman faces up to five years in prison.
The case will be considered by the Chernivtsi regional court. In the meantime, law enforcement officers are investigating the possible involvement of other individuals in this mobilization evasion scheme.
