In Chernivtsi region, a former official of the district territorial center for recruitment and social support was reported on suspicion of unauthorized interference in the state register. This was reported by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region .
According to the investigation, while in office, the suspect organized the entry of false information about 76 conscripts into the state registry "Oberig" for several months.
The system was filled with information that citizens were supposedly mobilized, removed from military registration, or already assigned to specific military units. In reality, these individuals did not serve and were not enlisted in units.
According to the investigation, this scheme allowed for artificially inflating the mobilization plan implementation figures. At the same time, 76 men actually avoided military service.
The former official is charged with committing a criminal offense provided for in Parts 1 and 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - unauthorized actions with information in automated systems committed by a person who had access rights, which resulted in serious consequences.
The court has already chosen a preventive measure for the suspect. Investigative actions are currently underway, law enforcement officers are identifying the full range of possible accomplices and verifying information regarding other similar facts.
