The Absolution detective agency published an investigation in which it claims that the family of State Border Guard Colonel Oleg Trofimenko has purchased luxury real estate, a large plot of land, and a fleet of vehicles worth a total of over UAH 13 million in recent years, with some of this property allegedly not reflected in the official's declarations.
According to journalists, in the prestigious Kyiv residential complex "Medovyi", the couple uses a two-level apartment with an area of 143 m² worth at least 5.6 million UAH, while the registry indicates only a parking space worth 480 thousand UAH for the wife. In January 2022, Absolution writes, almost 13 acres of land in the village of Novi Bezradichi were registered for the colonel's father - according to the documents, the value of the plot was 57.2 thousand UAH, although journalists emphasize that the market price there is much higher.
Journalists also point out that in 2024, Trofimenko was granted permission to build a garden house with an area of over 200 m²; in fact, according to the investigation, this is a cottage in the closed town of "Friends", where prices start at 6.5 million UAH. In addition, the family allegedly has a large fleet of cars: Toyota Highlander (2022), Skoda Superb (2024), Skoda Octavia (2020), Toyota Camry (2023) - the total registered value of the cars is over 4 million UAH. They also note the use of an Audi E-Tron S electric crossover, registered to a businessman who has ties to his wife's relatives.
Absolution draws attention to the fact that these acquisitions significantly exceed the declared income of the family and pension payments of the colonel's parents, so journalists raise questions about the origin of the funds and the completeness of the declarations. The material also lists Oleg Trofimenko's service: he held various positions in border units, in 2014 he worked in the Donetsk airport zone, and since November 2023 he has been the head of the 7th Carpathian detachment, responsible for guarding hundreds of kilometers of the border in the Lviv region.
The investigation highlighted the existence of business ties between family members and companies that own land in the Druzy cottage town, as well as cases of property registration in the name of third parties. Journalists recommend checking entries in the registers of real estate, vehicles, and NACP declarations to find out whether the data published in the investigation correspond to official information.
