The director of the Fastiv Multidisciplinary Hospital of Intensive Treatment is found guilty of abuse. He helped a local businessman to avoid mobilization, taking a bribe of about $ 5,000. The court ruled that the director of the hospital had used his status to illegally intervene in military affairs.
According to the decision of the Fastiv City Court of Kyiv Oblast, the director of the hospital in December 2024 discussed with the entrepreneur the possibility of sewing workwear for doctors. During this discussion, the doctor wondered if the entrepreneur had problems with military accounting and conscription, promising that he would help to avoid mobilization for $ 5,000.
Later, the director informed the entrepreneur that he was already wanted by the General Staff of the Armed Forces, but after transferring a bribe will be able to move on Fastov without the threat to be detained for call.
On January 23, 2025, under the control of law enforcement officers, 210 thousand UAH (about $ 5,000) was transferred, which the doctor received as a bribe. After that, he was detained, taken into custody, but later he released 1.5 million UAH.
After concluding an agreement with the investigation, the court approved a penalty in the form of a fine in the amount of UAH 93.5 thousand.
