Police have detained the driver of a BMW who caused a fatal accident. A 10-year-old passenger in a Ford died as a result of the accident. According to preliminary data, the driver of a BMW, while in the area of the “Children's Plant” public transport stop, collided with a Ford car that was making a U-turn.
Four other people, including the driver of the Ford and two young children, were injured. The injured were taken to hospital, and their condition is being assessed.
A number of media outlets reported that the driver was 17-year-old Arseniy Bessonov, born in 2007. Law enforcement sources said that the driver was Valeriy Oleshchenko, a resident of Dnipro, born in 2005, and Arseniy Bessonov was a passenger.
The issue of declaring the driver a suspect is currently being decided. Details will be announced later.
