Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, during a joint briefing with the Head of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands, Dylan Jeshilgos-Zegerius, announced the preparation of a comprehensive plan to address mobilization problems and cases of unauthorized abandonment of units.
According to him, the document has already been discussed with commanders at the front and military experts. He noted that the plan provides for a number of decisions, including steps aimed at increasing the number of foreigners in the Armed Forces of Ukraine .
“Our comprehensive plan to address the problems with the NWCH and mobilization includes certain solutions on how to ensure that there are more foreigners in Ukraine,” Fedorov said.
He added that in the coming months, the gradual adoption of specific decisions within the framework of this plan will begin.
During the briefing, issues of cooperation with the Netherlands in the field of defense and security were also discussed. Representatives of the Dutch Ministry of Defense confirmed continued support for Ukraine.
Details of the mechanisms for attracting foreigners, as well as possible legislative changes, have not yet been disclosed. At the same time, the issue of strengthening the army remains one of the key ones in the context of a protracted war.
