This week, apple prices began to decrease in Ukraine, as farmers will be massacularly sold out of storage products massively. According to EastFruit analysts, manufacturers have ceased to expect an increase in cost and decided to get rid of stocks, which led to an increase in the supply on the market.
How much did the apples fall in?
The average price for quality apples is now 22-30 UAH/kg ($ 0.53-0.72/kg), which is 12% lower than last week.
At the same time, compared to last year, prices remain much higher - by 48%.
Market operators predict that apples prices can continue falling. The main reasons:
deterioration of the quality of fruits in storage.
Low demand because of high prices.
