Companies with signs of fictitiousness are engaged in the restoration of thermal power plants after missile strikes in Ukraine, which threatens the stability of heat supply in citizens' apartments.
According to a journalistic investigation by MEZHI, 33 million hryvnias allocated for the renovation of the CHP were transferred to LLC "Nova Perspektyva Lux", a company with no real experience in performing such works. The company was bought out in 2024 and registered under a front person - Alla Bureiko, who had not previously been involved in business and worked as a cook in Slovakia.
Experts point out the main signs of a fictitious company:
-
registration as a fictitious person;
-
participation in tenders despite the availability of more advantageous offers;
-
fake experience in performing similar work;
-
lack of income and real economic activity.
Head of MEZHI Martyna Bohuslavets noted that the company will likely overestimate the scope of work in its projects, which will directly affect the formation of the estimate and the total cost of the CHP restoration.
The city fears that the transfer of strategic facilities to such firms could jeopardize the timely restoration of heat in apartments and increase budget expenses.
