Law enforcement officers completed a pre-trial investigation into a deadly road accident that happened in the Dnieper and claimed the life of a 10-year-old girl. Four more were injured. The main cause of the accident is almost four times.
According to the investigation, there was a 19-year-old guy at the wheel, who is currently being held in a detention center. However, another person involved in the case-a 17-year-old passenger-continues to ignore the law. As it turned out, he was already a participant in another road accident with the victims, but it did not prevent him from being at the wheel again.
Despite his house arrest, he was stopped again on April 10 by driving the car. And on June 5, the court softened him with a preventive measure. However, after two days, June 7, the police detained the teenager again. He operated the car without a driver's license, and the vehicle had a changed body number.
Even more alarming is the fact that the young man refused to take a test for alcohol and drugs, but passed biostosis for examination.
The police emphasize that the investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers check whether systemic violations occurred by bodies that had to monitor compliance with a preventive measure.
The public is outraged by the fact that the suspect in the case with death and then sits behind the wheel, having neither rights nor permission. The focus is the issue of justice and safety on the roads.
