In Ukraine, a large-scale check of decisions of medical and social expert commissions (MSEC) is underway, which have established disability to civil servants. As a result of inspections, the Ministry of Health has already canceled almost 300 such decisions together with law enforcement agencies.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reports about it.
According to the Ministry of Health, a list of 2636 cases of officials from more than 70 state bodies was formed to check. Health Minister Viktor Lyashko said that experts have already worked on 1359 cases. As of today, 281 disability decisions have been canceled, and in 232 cases they have changed a disability group or reviewed the deadline. In addition, nearly 500 people have been re -inspected.
The checks are ongoing, and the list of persons whose cases need to be viewed are constantly expanding as law enforcement agencies continue to send additional data.
“Our goal is that only those who really need it receive support. This is not only a right but also social justice, ”the Minister of Health emphasized.
From January 1, 2025, medical and social expert commissions (MSEC) have ceased their activities in Ukraine. Their functions were adopted by expert teams to evaluate the functional state of the person.
We will remind, earlier the State Bureau of Investigations reported that as a result of inspections of more than 200 employees of state institutions - in particular customs officers, tax and prosecutor's office - were deprived of disabilities. The losses caused to the state are estimated within 100-200 thousand hryvnias.
