In the Rivne region, law enforcement officers have detained a 72-year-old man on suspicion of murdering five people in a temporary residence for internally displaced persons. The tragedy occurred at night in the village of Sudobichi.
According to police, at around 04:10, a domestic conflict broke out between several people in the premises of a defunct school where the displaced people lived. The dispute escalated into a fight, during which the man inflicted bodily injuries on the victims.
Five people died in the incident — two men aged 60 and 68 and three women aged 81, 78 and 56. They all lived in the same building.
After the crime, the suspect was promptly detained by law enforcement officers. He is currently being investigated.
