The foundation, which presented the head of the Anti-Corruption Center (CPC) Vitaly Shabunin with a volunteer car, made an official statement in connection with the scandal that arose around the use of the car. The head of the fund, Valery Dolynskyi, confirmed that the car was given specifically for the needs of the front, and stated that he did not know the reasons why the car was driven by an anti-corruption officer, and also noted that the fund does not support such use.
"Serviceman Shabunin really appealed to our fund for assistance in the form of a car for the defense of the country. Indeed, according to his words, he planned to use it in Donbas to protect the country. Indeed, according to his words, he does his service using a car for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, imported specifically for the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And indeed, in the act of acceptance of the transfer, we as a foundation indicate the purpose for the defense of the country," Dolynskyi writes.
He says that they at the foundation "do not support" Shabunin's use of a car for personal purposes for moving around Kyiv, and if they had known this, they would not have given him the car.
We will remind, according to the media, for this episode, as well as for not showing up for military service, Shabunin is going to be charged with suspicion in the near future.
