Former Deputy Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine Vitaliy Gagach remained the owner of significant assets after his dismissal, while his declaration lacks information about his wife and her property. This effectively makes it impossible to fully assess the financial condition of the former high-ranking official's family.
According to the submitted declaration, before his dismissal, Gagach received 815 thousand hryvnias in salary from BEB. Separately, he declared almost 4 million hryvnias in income from the sale of a car to Konstantin Kucher. Significant amounts are also kept in cash: 295 thousand US dollars, 35 thousand euros and 1.85 million hryvnias. In addition, the declaration indicates a debt obligation of 300 thousand dollars to his father, which has existed since 2019.
Vitaliy Gagach owns two 10-hectare plots of land near Kyiv, each valued at 2.776 million hryvnias. A 291-square-meter residential building is being built on these plots. He also rents an apartment in Kyiv.
The declaration separately lists the expenses for renting housing for the children. Son Danylo lives in a rented apartment in Madrid, and daughter Kateryna lives in France with her grandmother. Thus, part of the family permanently lives abroad.
As for transportation, Gagach declared a Toyota Camry Hybrid and a BRP Can-Am ATV. He also used a Toyota Land Cruiser registered to another person.
At the same time, the declaration does not contain any data about Natalia Gagach (Marchuk), who is considered his wife. Her property and possible income are not reflected in the reporting, which may indicate concealment of assets from mandatory declaration and raises additional questions about the transparency of the financial situation of the family of the former deputy director of BEB.
