Former Deputy Minister of Social Policy Borys Lebedtsov has once again found himself at the center of a corruption scandal. This time, due to almost 11 million hryvnias of inaccurate information in his declaration. This was reported by the Absolution , citing the results of a full inspection by the National Anticorruption Directorate.
The violations discovered are classics of the genre: fictitious gifts, alimony, housing with the wrong address, and even millions that Lebedtsov “didn’t know about.”.
The official did not indicate in the declaration the area, cost, and other mandatory data of the apartment in Cherkasy that his son uses. Moreover, this information has long been in an open court decision.
He registered the rented apartment in Kyiv… in Cherkasy. Moreover, he did not provide the details of the owner of the apartment.
Lebedtsova's roommate declared receiving 72 thousand hryvnias in social assistance, although in reality the amount was only 20 thousand. In addition, 88.5 thousand hryvnias of alimony that Pyrozhenko Oleksandr paid her disappeared. They are not in the declaration.
The loudest item was the item about cash savings — $300,000. The official explained that it was a gift from the cohabitant's father. But, according to the NACP, the father had only an old 1982 VAZ and almost zero income. And the mother spent most of her official earnings on a car. It turns out that $300,000 appeared out of nowhere.
A separate story is the 2021 court decision, which concerns a loan of UAH 5.95 million that Lebedtsova's cohabitant provided to LLC "Nashi Dveri". There is not a word in the declaration. The official assures that he knew nothing about it. The NACP does not believe it: he had access to financial information as an official and as a cohabitant.
The total amount of inaccurate data is UAH 10.97 million. This is more than 20 times the limit for criminal liability.
Qualification: Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "declaration of false information." Previously, Lebedtsov was already suspected of official negligence related to the embezzlement of 24 million hryvnias. Now - another case.
