A former official of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhia region was reported on suspicion of illegal enrichment in the amount of almost 13 million hryvnias.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the suspicion was reported on December 17, 2025. The investigation established that in 2021–2023, the former head of the special-purpose emergency rescue unit acquired unjustified assets while in office and performing state functions.
Among the discovered property were cash seized during searches, as well as luxury cars: a 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 3.3 Twin Turbo, a 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQC 400, and a 2020 Volkswagen Touareg. To hide the illegal origin of the assets, ownership was registered in the name of the wife and a proxy.
Criminal proceedings were initiated based on the NACP's conclusion on monitoring the official's lifestyle. The suspect's actions are qualified under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illicit enrichment.
