France is ready to replace the United States of America in the issue of providing intelligence information to Ukraine, French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecorn said. In an interview with France24, Lecorton confirmed that France is ready to offer Ukraine reconnaissance data that had previously provided the United States of America.
This happens against the background of recent events, when on March 5, the media reported a temporary cessation of intelligence exchange between the US and Ukraine on strikes in Russia. However, as it was later, the United States continues to transmit data for blows to the positions of Russians in the occupied territories. According to the CIA director, Washington not only suspended the supply of weapons, but also stopped exchange of intelligence with Ukraine.
This decision was the result of difficult negotiations, in particular, a busy discussion between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump and US Vice -Cresident Di Vens, which took place after Zelensky's visit to the White House on February 28. After that, the US side made a decision to temporarily stop supporting Ukraine, which, in turn, led to the appeal of France with a proposal to provide intelligence.
