A noticeable warming is expected in Ukraine from Monday, December 15. Forecaster Natalka Didenko reported this in her forecast, noting that the air temperature in most regions will rise to +1...+5 degrees.
The warmest will be in the West: mild weather will remain here at +3...+6 degrees both on Sunday and Monday. Only the east and northeast of the country will still be slightly below zero: -1...-3 degrees are expected during the day.
The weather will be mostly cloudy. Clearing is possible in the western regions - they will be provided by an anticyclone. In Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava and Luhansk regions, wet snow will fall: these are the remnants of a receding atmospheric front. In the rest of the territory, significant precipitation is not forecast, light drizzle is possible in some places.
It will also get warmer in Kyiv: during the day the temperature will rise to +2…+4 degrees. Because of this, the snow that fell the day before will begin to actively melt. Didenko urged the townspeople to carefully choose their shoes and be careful on the roads - it will be slippery. Precipitation in the capital is expected to be minimal: drizzle or light rain is likely.
According to preliminary weather forecasts, a new cold snap will hit Ukraine from December 21, but it will be insignificant.
