The famous Ukrainian singer and frontman of the band "TIC" Viktor Bronyuk, who repeatedly expressed his civic position and criticized those who went abroad during the war, announced his dismissal from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Broniuk joined the Armed Forces at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and his service lasted more than a year. The singer actively served in the 120th brigade of Vinnytsia TRO, and was later assigned to the "Dniester" unit in the logistics department. However, he recently decided to end his service and explained that he had an important reason for doing so.
According to the artist, his father suffered a stroke and is now a disabled person of the first group. As a son, Viktor feels the duty to take care of his relative, which became the main reason for his dismissal from the army. He emphasized that he would have had the opportunity not to go to the service, but decided to fulfill his duty to the country in a difficult time.
"I resigned, my father is disabled of the first group. He suffered a stroke. I could theoretically not go. Such was the time, I served for a year and two months, and as if the situation demanded a little more time," Viktor Bronyuk said in an interview for the "Morning in the Big City" program.
Despite his release, Bronyuk continues to support the Ukrainian military and volunteer, helping his fellow citizens. The artist also remains active in public life and repeatedly criticizes those who evade their duties to the country in this difficult time.
