This week, Ukraine is expected to experience the last frosts before warming, which will begin on February 25. Forecasters predict that the temperature will rise next week, and with the beginning of March, real spring warmth will come to Ukraine.
Forecasters Vitaliy Postrygan and Natalka Didenko said that after several cold days remaining in Ukraine, frosts will gradually begin to recede from February 25. This is due to the movement of the anticyclone Finja, which is currently covering the Balkans. This will create conditions for the access of warmer and more humid air from the Mediterranean Sea, which will lead to an increase in temperature.
According to weather forecasters, starting from February 25, Ukraine will experience gradual warming. During the day, the temperature will rise to +1…+5 degrees, and from February 26, the thermometer will show +4…+9 degrees. The greatest warming is expected in the west and south of the country, where the temperature may reach +10 degrees.
In Kyiv, warming is also expected from February 25. However, the complete retreat of frosts in Ukraine is predicted to occur in early March. Then the temperature will rise to spring indicators.
March temperatures: spring is just around the corner
The Ventusky weather radar shows that already on March 2, in the western regions of Ukraine, in particular in Lviv and Zakarpattia, the temperature may reach up to +15 degrees, and in the west in general up to +13 ° C. The center and south of the country will also be able to enjoy spring warmth, with temperatures up to +10 degrees.
However, in the north and east of the country it will remain cooler: up to +6 °C. Despite this, a gradual increase in temperature throughout Ukraine will create favorable conditions for the approach of spring.
According to weather forecasters, with the beginning of March, real spring warmth will come to Ukraine. In the first days of March, the temperature will vary from +6 to +15 degrees, depending on the region. The greatest warmth is expected in the west and south, while the north and east will retain cool weather.
