January is ending for Ukraine with harsh winter weather. In most regions, the air temperature will drop to -8°…-12°, and gusty winds will increase the feeling of cold. In the south, east, and part of the central regions, precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain is expected - depending on the temperature.
In western Ukraine today, dry and sunny weather will prevail, but with noticeable frosts. During the day, the air temperature will fluctuate within -8°…-12°. The exception will be the Zakarpattia region, where milder weather is expected — from -1° to +1°.
Similar weather conditions are forecast for the north of the country. It will be clear and without precipitation, but cold: the thermometer will drop to -10°…-12°.
In eastern Ukraine, the weather will be cloudy and humid. In Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the temperature will remain within 0°…+2°, in Kharkiv region it will get colder to -6°…-8°. Snow and rain are expected during the day.
In the central regions of the country, the temperature will drop to -6°…-12°. Snow will fall in places, while no precipitation is forecast in Vinnytsia region.
Southern Ukraine will also remain under the influence of humid and cloudy weather. In Crimea, relatively warm weather will remain with temperatures of +3°…+5°. In Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, -1°…+1° is expected, and in other southern regions — up to -6°…-8°.
