In Ukraine, for the majority of household consumers (population), the cost of natural gas will not change at least until the end of April 2025. This applies to customers of the Gas Supply Company “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, which serves more than 12 million households. Under the terms of the annual fixed price, they will continue to pay UAH 7.96 per cubic meter of gas. This message appeared on the “GazPravda” website.
Annual and monthly rates
In addition, for the remaining suppliers, annual prices remain stable. For household consumers in the gas market, which consists of 9 suppliers, the price per cubic meter of gas varies from 7.79 to 9.99 UAH for annual tariffs. For monthly (market) tariffs, prices can fluctuate within the range of 8.46–19.99 UAH depending on market conditions.
It should be noted that over 98% of household consumers are served by Naftogaz of Ukraine, and for them the price of gas will remain unchanged at UAH 7.96 per cubic meter.
Recalculation of delivery costs
As for gas delivery, some Ukrainians will see a recalculation of the cost of delivery from January 1, 2025. In many cases, the amount of payments will increase, especially for those who used more gas in the previous period. At the same time, those who actively saved in the previous “gas year” may see a decrease in their bills.
According to experts, the amount for gas delivery is determined by the formula: the gas delivery tariff is multiplied by the volume of gas consumed. The cost of the tariff will remain stable, as there is a moratorium on increasing the cost of both gas and delivery during martial law.
What changes await consumers?
The amount for gas delivery is now formed based on the volume of gas consumed in the period from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024. Therefore, in the payments for January 2025, you can see both an increase and a decrease in the amount, depending on how much gas the household consumed during this period.
