Gazprom plans to stop gas transit through Ukraine from 2025

Russian energy giant Gazprom does not plan to supply natural gas to Europe via transit through Ukraine after 2024. Reuters reports this, citing internal company documents related to strategic planning for 2025.

However, the agency's interlocutor clarified that this plan has not yet been approved by top management.

According to an anonymous source, Gazprom expects gas exports to "far abroad" to decrease to 39 billion cubic meters in 2025 due to the cessation of transit through Ukraine.

By the term "far abroad," as the agency writes, Gazprom usually means European countries and Turkey. However, gas supplies to Turkey are unlikely to decrease, writes Reuters.
