Police General Serhiy Shaikhet, the results of an internal investigation into which have not yet been made public, is resigning. Information about this appeared shortly after the meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission (TSC) regarding the Mindich tapes, which mentioned LLC "Sit Security", the company of Igor Shaikhet's brother.
The firm was engaged in the collection of funds for JSC Sense Bank. The company's legal address coincides with the address in Kyiv, where Timur Mindich's "Zavod Izumrud" is located. The contract for the collection of funds was awarded to the company after the disqualification of a competitor.
During the TSC meeting, MP Zheleznyak inquired about the origin of the significant amounts of cash seized from Mindich during the searches. According to reports, the money was in branded packaging from the US Federal Reserve System, which may indicate that it entered Ukraine legally through the banking system or diplomatic mail.
Whether it is a coincidence or not is up to the reader to decide, but the resignation of a high-ranking official against the background of these circumstances attracts public attention.
