The General Director of the National Children's Specialized Hospital Okhmatdyt Volodymyr Zhovnir is temporarily suspended from his duties until the completion of the inspections conducted by the National Police of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies and the commission of the Ministry of Health (MoH).
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health, Viktor Lyashko. He noted that further decisions, including possible personnel changes, will be made after the inspections are completed.
"My position is that the person performing the duties should be a person from among the department heads who will receive the greatest support from colleagues. Now I am holding consultations," Lyashko said.
Lyashko also said that all the facts mentioned in the mass media regarding the restoration of Okhmatdyt are currently being studied by the National Police at his request, as well as being checked by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU).
"I received the first results of the inspection of the commission of the Ministry of Health. "Unfortunately, there are cases of distortion of key information that is officially submitted to me, to the mass media and contained in documents, both by the hospital's management and by the Foundation," Lyashko added.
