The General Director of the National Children's Specialized Hospital Okhmatdyt Volodymyr Zhovnir has been temporarily suspended from his duties until the completion of inspections conducted by the National Police of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies, and a commission of the Ministry of Health (MOH).
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health, Viktor Lyashko. He noted that further decisions, including possible personnel changes, will be made after the inspections are completed.
"My position is that the acting head should be the person from among the department heads who will receive the greatest support from his colleagues. I am currently conducting consultations," said Lyashko.
Lyashko also reported that all the facts mentioned in the media regarding the restoration of Okhmatdyt are currently being studied by the National Police upon his request, and an inspection by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) is also being conducted.
"I received the first results of the inspection by the Ministry of Health commission. Unfortunately, there are cases of distortion of key information that is officially provided to me, to the media, and contained in documents, both by the hospital management and the Fund," Lyashko added.
