Ukrainian activist and commander of the First Voluntary Medical Hospital (PDMG) named after M. Pirogov Gennady Druzenko expressed a disturbing opinion about the catastrophic situation in which Ukraine found itself. In an interview, he emphasized that the actions of the authorities can lead to even greater problems for the country, and he considers the main threat not to be an external enemy, but internal mistakes of the leadership.
"What the president and the government are doing now radically increases the chances of a catastrophic scenario," Druzenko noted. According to him, the situation is becoming critical, and the country may find itself in a position where the change of power will not take place through democratic elections, but as a result of a "caesarean section", which can cause great social and political losses. He noted that the president's verbal statements no longer carry weight, as the president himself often forgets his own promises, which looks like a process of talking for the sake of talking rather than actual action.
The activist also noted that the situation at the front is becoming more and more difficult. "We are retreating, motivation is disappearing," he emphasized, noting that although TCCs (Territorial Centers of Recruitment and Social Support) are acting hard, corruption schemes are doing their job again, incorrectly filling the front.
"Instead of concentrating efforts on the fight against the enemy, the authorities are often distracted by internal problems, which only worsens the situation," he added. Druzenko is convinced that the main threat to Ukraine is not Putin, but the inadequate and ineffective actions of the internal authorities, which can lead to significant losses for the country.
