Our source in the General Staff said that the enemy controls half of Vovchansk, our military cannot stop the Russian army due to the lack of heavy equipment and artillery.
The statement of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, indicates the expansion of the zone of active military operations. In Kharkiv Oblast, the situation worsened in the direction from Strelech to Lypka, as well as in the city of Vovchansk.
"The enemy expanded its operations by almost 70 kilometers, directing us to the additional mobilization of brigades from the reserve. The enemy's main forces are concentrated in the direction from Strelech to Lypka, as well as the already captured city of Vovchansk, where their further offensive to Bily Kolodyaz is planned in order to break through our defensive positions," said General Syrskyi.
The Russian side is actively developing and strengthening operational-tactical groups called "Sevier" for the offensive. They include combat units of the 6th, 11th and 44th Army Corps. General Syrsky noted that the Russian offensive began much earlier than expected due to the detection of the movement of Ukrainian troops. However, they failed to break through the defense.
According to data from May 16, 10 collisions took place in the Kharkiv direction. The offensive continues in the city of Vovchansk and its western part. In the direction of Lipetsk, the enemy is trying to secure a position in the village of Hlyboke and surround the village of Liptsi, which is constantly under fire from artillery, mortars and aviation.
