The information campaign against Gizo Uglava, the first deputy head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), aims to "reboot" the Bureau, which is favorable for the initiators of media attacks. Political expert Oleksiy Holobutsky claims this in his post on Facebook.
"Thanks to the flow of articles that attribute the leak of information from NABU to Ugla, the opinion has already been created that he is guilty. This opinion is quite skillfully imposed on the public. This is the first attack on Uglava in the 10 years of his work at NABU, during which he did not get into a single scandal," Holobutsky notes.
The expert believes that the possible customers of this campaign may be different, including the Office of the President. However, he does not rule out other options, since there are many people with money, influence and connections among those involved in NABU investigations. Holobutskyi also emphasizes that the NABU is currently conducting an audit with the participation of American auditors, the results of which will be ready in September.
"Such events as media attacks on Uglava can affect the work of auditors and make them more cautious. This can lead to a "reset" of the work of NABU, which is the goal of the customers of this campaign," concludes the expert.
