Today, Russian Telegram channels released a video that, according to them, shows an attack on a dam across the Severskyi Donets in the Stary Salty region. This area is of strategic importance, as the main road from Kharkiv to Volchansk passes through this dam, which is important for supplying the Ukrainian military during hostilities in this region.
In this way, the Russians are obviously trying to complicate the supply of Ukrainian units at the border in the Vovchansk region (the main road from Kharkiv to Vovchansk passes through this dam).
The head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov commented on the video published by the Russians of an attack on the dam across the Siverskyi Donets near Stary Saltov.
"This is a strategic crossing for us, so we will limit communication about it," Synegubov said.
At the same time, he added that there are other alternative ways that "we worked out in 2022-2023. It takes a little longer to drive there, but there is absolutely a travel direction, a road. Therefore, we have no problems with the evacuation and movement of the civilian population in this direction."
