At the National Tourism Summit in Lviv, the head of the regional government announced that the opening of the airport in Lviv could bring many benefits. According to him, this will not only mean an opportunity to close the sky over Ukraine, but will also open the way for foreign investors and tourists who want to visit the country.
The owners of hotels in the Carpathians, together with the head of the Lviv OVA, confirmed that the opening of the airport will be a real boost for the industry, increasing the flow of tourists many times over. Today, many hotels in the Lviv region have turned into places for the rehabilitation of war veterans, which proves their social responsibility.
In March 2024, the then Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that Ukraine was starting negotiations with the US and the EU to restore air connections. Several European airlines, including Ryanair, have expressed interest in returning to the Ukrainian market. Negotiations are also underway with three Ukrainian airlines.
