At the beginning of the summer, Ukrainian society reacted with concern to the information about the salary of Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the chairman of the board of the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo". The dispute was caused by his statement about receiving a salary of "only" 420,000 hryvnias per month, which turned out to be much less than the total amount, as noted, the public was convinced.
"My salary was set by the supervisory board in 2020 when I was appointed to the position. I earn approximately UAH 420,000 per month after taxes," Kudrytskyi said.
However, on the official website of Ukrenergo, in the "reporting" section, it is directly written that in April, Kudrytskyi and his 3 deputies together received 8 million 534 thousand hryvnias, that is, about 2.2 million hryvnias for each.
In total, for 2023, according to official data, the head of Ukrenergo together with his three deputies earned 29 million hryvnias at the state-owned enterprise.
We will remind, against the background of the fact that the salary of ordinary energy workers in the state-owned company is UAH 15-20 thousand, the board of NEK has turned itself into an upper caste that receives millions during a full-scale war. According to the reports of the board of Ukrenergo, in 2023 its maintenance cost the state 29.2 million UAH.
In particular, for 4 months of 2024, the remuneration of the board of "Ukrenergo" amounted to more than UAH 16.5 million.
In addition to Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the board includes three other members: Oleksiy Brecht, Serhiy Galagan, and Oleg Skrypnyk. Last month, these figures divided UAH 8.534 million into four. And this is despite the fact that the last audit of the company by the State Audit Service revealed abuses of UAH 68 billion at NEC Ukrenergo, including embezzlement of funds for the purchase of body armor and the supply of electricity without payment to Kolomoisky's company.
