The National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, together with the SAP and the Strategic Investigation Department in the Volyn Oblast, exposed the chairman of one of the district courts of the region and his acquaintance on attempting to receive undue benefits. NABU reports.
According to the investigation, the official, together with the acquaintance, pushed the local resident to give a bribe to another judge for the allegedly "needed" decision in a civil case. In fact, there was no agreement with that judge, and the decision he made was already in favor of the applicant.
The received funds were assigned to themselves, dividing each other. They tried to hide part of the amount by exchanging the currency through the exchange point and another acquaintance.
The actions of the suspects are qualified under the articles:

Part 4 of Art. 27 (inciting to the crime),

Part 2 of Art. 15 (attempted crime),

Part 3 of Art. 369 (providing undue benefit to an employee),

Part 3 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud committed by prior conspiracy, using office).
