The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported on the difficult military situation near Kupiansk, where Russian troops are actively trying to break through Ukrainian defenses. According to Sirskyi, the enemy is attacking from two directions, which leads to fierce battles.
"The enemy is trying to break through the defense of our troops from two directions. Fierce fighting continues. Despite all the complexity of the situation, we have chances to change the situation in our favor. And the defense forces are doing everything possible for this," he writes in the head.
Meanwhile, Russian military sources report that the Russian Federation is attacking east of the village of Synkivka and advancing south of Vilshana. Ukrainian sources did not confirm this.
The day before, a Ukrainian military officer near Kupyansk said that they were sent in an ill-conceived assault, which ended with heavy losses, and the wounded were not evacuated for a long time.
