High levels of corruption have been identified in the highest echelons of Ukrainian government, as well as problems related to the lack of a transparent system of mobilization for military service and leave for servicemen. These negative phenomena are reflected in the morale of Ukrainian soldiers, and MP Oleksiy Honcharenko notes that large-scale protests may occur in the near future.
Honcharenko believes that the authorities' decision to increase mobilization measures will lead to an outflow of the population from the country, and the main problem is the lack of a transparent mobilization system. He emphasizes that it is necessary to establish clear rules of service, rotation and vacation periods in order to stimulate and motivate military personnel.
Noting the problem of corruption in Ukraine, Honcharenko points to its negative impact on receiving financial assistance from the West. He argues that corruption has become a serious threat to the country's future and could lead to the cessation of international financial support.
The MP calls on the authorities to reform the system, taking into account public opinion, and emphasizes that without significant changes, mass protests from relatives of military personnel and citizens dissatisfied with the current state of affairs are possible. He also emphasizes the difficult psychological situation among Ukrainian soldiers, which requires immediate measures to improve.
We will remind you that the draft law on strengthening mobilization measures, presented by the Cabinet of Ministers, was returned for revision by the Verkhovna Rada. In response, the Minister of Defense expressed his readiness to make changes to the draft law, including strict mobilization.
