American millionaire, philanthropist and son of the legendary investor Warren Buffett, Howard Buffett was spotted at McDonald's fast food restaurant in Rivne. In a relaxed atmosphere, he dined in the company of a Ukrainian people's deputy. His foundation finances the restoration of the Kharkiv printing house "Faktor-Druk".
The local mass media specified that Buffett had lunch in the company of People's Deputy Dmytro Solomchuk. The parliamentarian did not report on this meeting or comment on it in his social networks.
68-year-old Howard Graham Buffett is the son of billionaire investor Warren Buffett. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, his foundation, The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, has allocated more than 200 million dollars to help Ukraine.
It is noted that the reasons for his visit to Rivne are still unknown. However, Buffett often supports social initiatives and has already visited Ukraine before. The millionaire allocated funds for humanitarian aid and infrastructure restoration in cities affected by the war.
In particular, the Ministry of Economy reported that The Howard G. Buffett Foundation will finance the restoration of the Factor-Druk printing house, which was destroyed by a Russian missile on May 23. Minister Yulia Svyridenko explained that there would not be enough funds from the grant programs for the works, so Ukraine turned to her "good friend" Howard Buffett.
"And he generously volunteered to restore "Faktor-Druk" at his own expense," Svyridenko informed.
