In Ukraine, restrictions on water supply in different cities may begin through critical debts of the population for utilities. This was reported by MP Bogdan Kitsak on the news of the news.Live.
According to the People's Deputy, the situation already in Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk can be repeated in other regions of the country.
"These precedents, which are now appearing in Rivne and Frankivsk, will continue to spread throughout Ukraine. Because the level of debt, if we miss all over the country, reaches almost ten billions. We need to get out of this situation," Kitsak stressed.
He also added that the situation causes a wave of folk indignation, so it is necessary to find an effective solution that will solve the problem without mass restrictions on water.
People's deputy Victoria Grib, who heads the subcommittee on energy security and housing and communal services, also drew attention to the problem of debt. She emphasized that utilities are in extremely difficult financial situation.
"We have 8 billion today is a population debt. As for me, we need to create a fund for people who cannot pay utilities," the Grib said.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the procedure for recalculating the cost of utilities concerning heat supply, water supply and garbage. However, this does not solve the problem of debt and possible water supply restrictions for Ukrainians.
If the mechanism of debt resolution is not found in the near future, water supply schedules can be a reality for many cities in Ukraine.
