In Kyiv, a group of criminals sprayed a woman with tear gas in her face and took 3 million hryvnias from her. The police announced that they were suspected of committing a robbery attack.
This is reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office. The event took place in Pechersk.
"Under the procedural leadership of the Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office, four men were informed of the suspicion of committing a robbery attack, based on a prior conspiracy by a group of persons, aimed at seizing money in particularly large amounts under martial law (Part 4, Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," says the messages
The investigation revealed that four men were following the woman, knowing about the significant amount of cash she was carrying. A tracker was installed on the victim's car to track her movements.
Two of the members of the criminal group, pretending to be soldiers in camouflage uniforms, lay in wait for the woman near her house. After spraying tear gas in her face, they snatched two black bags with 3 million hryvnias from her hands and fled in a car owned by one of them.
Later, they met with two other accomplices and got into their car. They disposed of the stolen money at their own discretion.
The perpetrators were natives of Kherson region aged 27 and 38, as well as natives of Luhansk region aged 31 and 35. Currently, all participants in the robbery have been arrested. At the request of the investigators, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect. The extras face up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
