In the course of court hearings, refutations of accusations related to the alleged supply of a poor-quality form of MOU in the "Grynkevich case" appear. Meanwhile, NABU admits its involvement in this investigation, but not because of suspicions about Ihor Hrynkevich.
The "Grynkevich case" has two main aspects. First, it is "embezzlement of MOU funds in the context of agreements on the supply of uniforms." These accusations were no longer confirmed, and the SBI changed them to the article "fraud", asserting the inappropriate quality of the form supplied by the Hrynkeviches for the Armed Forces.
However, as indicated in the MOU documents, the goods from the companies of Lviv entrepreneurs did not cause any complaints or complaints.
Court hearings in the "Grynkevich case" reveal new details regarding the allegations regarding Igor Grynkevich's alleged offer of a $500,000 bribe to an official of the State Bureau of Investigation, the deputy head of the State Security Service. It turns out that the communication between Hrynkevich and the SBI official involved an intermediary who had connections with the Bureau's leadership.
According to the court documents, the correspondence between Hrynkevich and the SBI official includes an intermediary who is close to the Bureau's leadership. Phrases in messages that mention "mutual friends" testify to this. At the same time, the SBI itself avoids commenting on whether the official communicated with Hrynkevich.
According to the Register of Court Decisions, the SBI started an investigation into the company of Roman Hrynevich, son of Ihor Hrynkevich, in October 2023. By the end of December of the same year, no court decisions had been made in the case, in particular, regarding the detention or seizure of their goods at customs. However, during this period, the SBU blocked the uniform for the Armed Forces, which the Hrynkevichs were carrying, at customs control, which could lead to a violation of the defense contract.
In March, information appeared that NABU was also studying the materials of the Hrynkevich case, but their role was not specified. NABU's response to the request did not deny the possibility of an investigation into the circumstances of the transfer of funds to representatives of the SBU. However, they noted that they are not conducting an investigation into suspected wrongdoing by Ihor Hrynkevich.
We will remind that Ihor and Roman Hrynkevich remain in the pretrial detention center. They deny the guilt of the charges brought against them and consider the persecution by the SBI to be the result of "pressure on business".
