The situation with the financing of tax authorities in Ukraine continues to cause serious discussions and unrest among the public. This time, the problem of the lack of funds for the Main Department of the State Tax Service (SU DPS) of the Lviv region was emphasized due to the lack of funds for envelopes.
A few days ago, we reported that the heads of State Departments of the State Tax Service of different regions of Ukraine began to apply to territorial communities for the allocation of funds from local budgets for the activities of the tax authority.
This testifies to the underfunding of the GU from the state budget and the failure of the leadership of the DPS of Ukraine.
And on May 7, the finance and budget planning commission of the Lviv City Council agreed to allocate UAH 1 million to the Main Directorate of the State Police in the Lviv region to pay for postal services.
It is about the purchase of stamps and envelopes for the tax service.
Funds were taken from two programs and sent to the tax service.
According to the decision of the commission, the city council redistributed part of the budget funds: about 1 million hryvnias were taken from two economic development programs of the city and sent to the State Tax Service in Lviv region in the form of a subvention (targeted aid).
494 thousand 600 UAH - the finance commission decided to take away from the "Program for the formation of tax culture in the city of Lviv", 505 thousand 400 UAH - they reduced the "Program of promotion of attracting investments to the Lviv City Council".
The funds will be used to pay for postal services of the tax service, namely the purchase of stamps and envelopes, which are required for sending notifications about the payment of local taxes.
In 2024, tax officials of the Lviv region will need 3 million 400 thousand UAH "in envelopes".
"So that you understand, I went to get the message myself, because I didn't feel like it. But I don't think that many such conscious people will go on their own. Well, objectively, if you don't feel like it, then you can not pay. We have to accept it, because if we don't give those envelopes, we won't have the filling of the local budget. And I don't understand at all why in our digital state there is such a non-digital tax system," noted the head of the commission of the Lviv Council, Nataliya Shelestak.
She also emphasized that without these envelopes and stamps, the tax office will not be able to send letters about the need to pay local taxes.
