At the Krakivtsi checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border, border guards exposed another attempt to illegally cross the state border using counterfeit documents. The 32-year-old resident of Kharkiv tried to leave Ukraine to Germany, presenting the birth certificate of three children, but one of them was a fake.
The vigilance of the border guards of the 7th Border Carpathian detachment helped to detect a fake document in a timely manner. It turned out that a man is really a father of two children, but the third child is fictional. The documents featured a "child-panther", which was allegedly born in Spain.
The document that was to confirm the birth of a third child was purchased through a Telegram channel for $ 2,000. It stated that the mother of the child was in Spain at the time of childbirth. However, the audit found that the woman was in Ukraine all this time, which completely refutes the legitimacy of the certificate.
The false certificate was to serve as the basis for traveling a man abroad in the status of a large parent. According to Ukrainian legislation, men with three or more children have the right to temporarily release from mobilization and travel outside the country.
On the use of the fake document, the border guards made a notification of the signs of a criminal offense under Part 4 of Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, as well as their sale or use.
The investigation continues, and the case once again demonstrates the scale of the shadow market of counterfeit documents and the importance of professional work of border guards during the war.
