The man from Kharkiv received three years for refusing to be mobilized

In the Kharkiv region, the court sentenced a 56-year-old man who received three summonses for mobilization, but refused to fulfill his duties. The court found him guilty of evading military service and sentenced him to three years in prison.

According to the case, in March 2024, the man was found fit for mobilization. During the following months, he received three "combat" summonses, but categorically refused to be mobilized, claiming that he had medical indications that allowed him to avoid service. In particular, the man referred to the disease, which was discovered during the course of the VLK after military service in 1990-1992.

At the trial, the man pleaded not guilty and tried to prove his unfitness for service due to his health. However, the court, taking into account his position, refused to recognize the testimony of the accused as reliable. The court noted that the man did not dispute the conclusions of the military medical commission, which confirms his ability to mobilize.

As a result, the court found him guilty of a crime under the article on evasion of military service and sentenced him to three years in prison.
