Alarming statistics for January 2024 were published on February 28 by the Kharkiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
The number of hepatitis cases in the region is 3.5 times higher than last year's figure for the same period and almost 10 times higher than in 2021!
In the structure of infectious morbidity (excluding influenza and acute respiratory viral infections), the incidence of viral hepatitis is currently 43.1%, which is a very high indicator.
Also, significantly more people began to get sick with salmonellosis - by 70.8%, with acute intestinal infections with an unknown pathogen - by 44.3%, with tuberculosis - by 42.6%, with whooping cough - by 2 times, with Lyme disease - by 2.1 times, with infectious mononucleosis - by 3 times.
